My name is Evija Melberga and I am a Psychosynthesis Therapist.
I am a qualified therapist, with a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling and Therapy. This is awarded by the University of East London and is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I also hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Pedagogy (Teaching) and Speech Therapy for Children with Special Needs. I am a member of the BACP, and work in the strictest confidence, and in accordance with their ethics.
I have also trained in:
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) with Heart
I am a qualified counsellor and Psychosynthesis Therapist with over seven years’ experience. My counselling work is primarily influenced by principle of psychosynthesis, I also draw on CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), including the use of mindfulness techniques. I work in a very individual way with each client, focussing on what you would like to gain from counselling.
On a more personal level, I am a warm and approachable person who finds it easy to engage with people from all backgrounds. I have experience of living and working in a variety of cultures and am multilingual.
This has given me a sense for detecting subtle signals in people that show the effect on them of the challenges of life in London, the world’s most cosmopolitan and complex city.
I also offer counselling in Latvian and Russian.
